BITTER SWEET
A moment so perfect
A moment now gone
A moment of wonder
That fades with the dawn
The waking dream passes
Leaving rents in my heart
All is as it had been
As it was from the start
Our moment together
Like honey so sweet
Can not be diminished
By hasty retreat
The magic that had been
Is too strong to keep
Bottled too deeply
Or buried too deep
The moment has changed me

For though it is over
It has opened the door
